Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Only one example of good practice is included in the submission; the country may, however, submit more than one good practice narrative, which should be concise and focused on the primary example of good practice selected for submission by the author(s).
- The submission has not previously been published and is not under consideration by a journal.
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs have been provided for references.
- The text adheres to the general instructions and reference requirements outlined in Information for authors.
- Authorship Responsibility and Copyrights form has been completed and uploaded.
- The Guidance for WHO photographers and film crews on obtaining consent has been read and acknowledged.
- The Declaration of Consent and Release for Photograph, Video and/or Sound Recordings of Named and or Unnamed Subjects have/has been completed and uploaded if applicable.
- The total wordage of the submission is below 2500; any submission not falling within this range will be automatically returned to the author(s) for adjustment to the required length.
- The Declaration of Interest document (DoI) has been completed and uploaded.
Articles
When submitting their article, authors are requested to provide the following:
- name of the submitting author
- country
- organization
- the time/period in which the good practice was implemented
- the article title
- a brief description of the article (up to 150 words and up to seven keywords)
- full names of all authors and institutions
- full contact details of the corresponding author
- names and email addresses of two suggested reviewers (optional but recommended)
- acknowledgements, ethics statement and funding information (attached as a separate file to ensure blind review)
- editable files of figures and graphs, if applicable (click here for guidance on maps)
- if the article is submitted in Russian, a Google-translated English version uploaded according to the instructions provided here.
